This piece was created in honor of my departed Best Cat Ever, Macie. A lifelong lover of Byzantine art in general and icons in particular, I felt Mace had done quite enough miraculous acts in her life to deserve canonization. So, I have rendered her image here in the style of such Holy icons, replete with (mock) gold leaf.
